To spin or not to spin, is that the question?

N'Diaye: On the move

Alassane N'Diaye: On the move to Roots Hall? We're still waiting!

Back at the beginning of last week we were told that it was 48 hours from Roots Hall for Crystal Palace midfielder Alassane N'Diaye if personal terms on a season-long loan could be agreed.

Then we were informed Eagles boss and former Shrimpers striker Dougie Freedman was back from his hols and that should move things along.

Still nothing; it's the length of the loan being discussed we're told this time around.

No, bugger all from Roots Hall as we hit the weekend.

Now, obviously a touch concerned Echo journalist Chris Phillips has been in touch, or they contacted him, with his legendary source to inquire what's up.

Phillips tweeted Sunday: 'Blues in talks with a winger and two strikers. Also spoken to a back up midfielder in case N'Diaye deals falls through'

Now, is the hard working Echo man being fed some spin here?

There's a rumour floating around that the club haven't been paying wages again and another transfer embargo has been placed, just after we grabbed Harris luckily.

We have no proof of this, and as all of the faithful hope it's plain bollocks and the 6ft 5inc 21-year-old will be revealed to the Shrimpers support shortly, or at least that wideboy!

As ever, life is never dull following Southend United, and we will wait and see.

Now off to Hyde Park to see Rod, Stevie and, erm, Adam Ant, enjoy the sunshine while it lasts!

COME ON YOU BLUES!!!!!!
