BBD2 - Loan Watch: What Blues side will turn up at the East End on Jan. 3 2009?

How many will still be there when we play the return at Birdbrain Road in the new year? What eleven will walk out at Roots Hall on February 3 against
Scunthorpe after the next transfer window closes?

Federici - Forget it. Aussie Adam is looking at a Championship place at Reading, even Premiership if their season continues in the vain it's started. Enjoy while it lasts and anyway, Joycey is a good reserve once Big Steve is back who was looking good when he picked up his injury.

Harding - Would love him to stay, Ipswich wont mind and we can probably cover his wages. Depends very much on our league position come Jan. 31, top six and I believe he would stay until the end of the season at least.

Sawyer - Maybe I was high from post-Crewe excitement last week but I really believe this guy could be an England star, a fellow west stander believes he has a similar playing style to Stevie Gerrard. The boy has everything, including a bloody kid now, and he's made it clear he would like to stay if everything can be worked out. Let's do it and see where we stand come May.

Christophe - Ahh John-Francois. Could be the sacrificial lamb in midfield when Macca is fully fit, would not be surprised if he was allowed to return to Pompey as the Moose and Grant would be able to keep things covered in the centre of the pitch. Would miss him though as I need to perfect my French accent which is slipping into Cornish at times, need Laurent to come on.

Robson-Kanu - 93 days top anyway which at a guess means he has to go back after Oldham on November 22. Great loss as Tilly has accepted that Walker just doesn't look at home out there. Might get him back for the Orient game but I doubt we would ever sign him permanently unless we get promotion and then a big 'maybe'.

So to answer my own question, I don't think the side will be that different from last night. Mildenhall for Federici, Macca for Christophe, maybe Walker for HRK.

The problem will be for next season if we don't go up with another round of transfer rumours going into late August. If we do, go up that is, then the fun will begins with Uncle Ron and the agents and how much FF is taking out of the kitty.

Never dull!
