Football League Youth Alliance Cup Final
v
The final of the Puma Youth Alliance Southern Area Cup takes place this evening at the Wycombe Wanderers ground at Adams Park on Thursday evening and the home club is opening the gates for free of charge in the hope of attracting a reasonable crowd to cheer on the lads.
And for the winners there's a chance of another trophy as the winners will take on Darlington in the national final after they beat Oldham 1-0 earlier this week at a venue and date to be decided.
Ricky Duncan's Under-18's have lost their last couple of league games as the he's lost the heart of the team to senior call-ups, and with Blues boss Paul Sturrock having to add the suspension of Bilel Mohsni to his many injury problems for the trip to Port Vale on Saturday Ricky will probably have to pick once again from a depleted squad.
Sad for Ricky and the lads who turn out as this is a competition we have performed poorly in over the last few successful seasons and it would be great to add it to the trophy cabinet.
Good luck to the young Shrimpers whoever turns out!
