Southend United will play Brentford at home in the First Round proper of the Youth Cup on Guy Fawkes Night 19.00ko, bringing back great memories of last season's run to the fifth round.

Blues Youth stood 90 minutes from a sixth round tie with Man. Utd. at Old Trafford last season when they lost to Carlisle away 2-1 after a storming run, in front of some big crowds at Roots Hall, to the latter stages of the FA Youth Cup.

Ricky Duncan's side having had a taste of that will fancy another long stay in the competition and a home tie for starters is always a boost.

The game will be played on Wednesday November 5th, hope the firweworks are kept to the pitch, with a 7pm kick-off time.

Prices are £3 for adults and a quid for concessions, payable at the turnstiles on the night.
