Southend Airport: Could be a new way to get to away games!

EasyJet has announced it will use Southend airport as a new London base.

The airline has unveiled plans to carry around 800,000 passengers in the first year, which lies just three miles from the seafront, and will take only 15 minutes from picking up your luggage to standing on the new station platform and 50 minutes from London Liverpool Street, or even Stratford if you were one of the lucky ones to pick up a ticket for the Olympics.

Athletics that is, not sure where the dressage takes place.

Not sure how many Barcelona Shrimpers there are, but if they ever decide to fly to Manchester it could cut the time down for Accrington away, and probably even cheaper than the train!
