Hartlepool United 3 Oldham Athletic 3

Chris Taylor struck a 59th-minute equaliser to keep ten-man Oldham's unbeaten record intact after they had thrown away a two-goal lead at Hartlepool.

Hughes headed home Danny Whitaker's cross to give The Latics the lead in the 22nd minute, and it was 2-0 on the stroke of half-time when Taylor scored from close range.

But the Oldham defence collapsed after the break. Andy Monkhouse started the comeback by heading in Richie Humphries' cross, and two minutes later Antony Sweeney equalised.

Joel Porter put Hartlepool ahead from the spot but Oldham showed their mental toughness when Taylor fired in left-footed from 18 yards, before Sean Gregan was dismissed for foul and abusive language.

Hereford 1 Scunthorpe United 2

Gary Hooper netted his seventh of the season as Scunthorpe came from behind to win their fifth consecutive league game at rock bottom Hereford.

Hereford took the lead against the run of play on 23 minutes when Izzy Iriekpen fouled Nick Chadwick in the box.

Chadwick dusted himself down to fire an emphatic penalty into the roof of the net.

But Scunthorpe came out fighting in the second half. Sam Togwell levelled on 53 minutes before Hooper turned in a Paul Hayes cross to complete the turnaround.

Carlisle United 0 Leeds United 2

Luciano Becchio and Jermaine Beckford ended Carlisle's 100% home record.

Becchio reacted quickly to score when Neil Kilkenny's corner flew across the face of goal and was poked back into the danger area by Paul Telfer.

Frazer Richardson rattled the Carlisle crossbar with a superb 25-yard effort in the 80th minute.

And Beckford sealed Leeds' win when substitute Robert Snodgrass found space on the left flank and crossed for the striker to score from six yards out.

Millwall 2 Cheltenham Town 0

Gary Alexander's second-half penalty and a superb David Martin strike gave Millwall their fourth consecutive league victory over ten man Cheltenham at The New Den.

Barry Hayles was sent off for two bookable offences on 27 minutes, but Millwall laboured to break down Cheltenham's ten men.

Alexander finally broke the deadlock with 20 minutes remaining after he was fouled in the area by Gavin Caines.

Martin's left-footed rocket put the result beyond all doubt on 81 minutes.

Leyton Orient 1 Leicester City 3

Late goals from Matt Fryatt and Andy King gave Leicester an important win at The Matchroom Stadium.

Leicester were in front on 11 minutes when Lloyd Dyer picked up Steve Howard's cross-field ball and fired past Glenn Morris for his third of the season.

But Orient levelled just before half-time when the Leicester defence failed to deal with Jason Demetriou's corner, and Adam Chambers fired home.

Fryatt scored his sixth of the season to put Leicester in front in the 86th minute, before King struck from close range to seal the points.

Brighton & Hove Albion 0 Walsall 1

Dwayne Mattis scored on 44 minutes to give nine-man Walsall a shock win at The Withdean Stadium.

Rhys Weston was the first to receive his marching orders on 14 minutes for a terrible foul on Dean Cox, and when Netan Sansara was also dismissed on 32 minutes it looked bleak for Walsall.

But amazingly The Saddlers took the lead just before half-time when Chris Palmer's hopeful long free-kick was headed in Mattis.

And despite a second half bombardment, Brighton were unable to find a way past Walsall keeper Clayton Ince.

Two home defeats on the trot for our seaside rivals and taunts of League One Champions after their Roots Hall win, many thanks Mr. Singh, might have been a little premature.

Colchester United 0 Milton Keynes Dons 3

Substitute Sam Baldock hit two late goals as MK Dons thrashed Colchester.

Aaron Wilbraham gave MK Dons the perfect start inside two minutes with a superbly placed 25-yard shot that beat Dean Gerken.

Colchester created very little and it was no surprise when Baldock sealed the points for The Dons on 88 minutes with a low right-footed shot.

Wilbraham teed up Baldock in injury time to put the icing on the cake.

Stockport County 1 Swindon Town 1

Craig Easton scored from long range to ensure Swindon left Edgeley Park with a share of the spoils.

Stephen Gleeson gave County the lead on 31 minutes, firing home Leon McSweeney's cross.

But Easton pulled The Robins level three minutes after the break when he latched on to Jack Smith's pass and beat Owain fon Williams with a 25-yard effort.

Peterborough United 2 Tranmere Rovers 2

Peterborough came from two goals behind to earn a point, thanks to goals from Craig Mackail-Smith and Gabriel Zakuani.

Greenacre got his first inside six minutes when he headed home Ian Goodison's cross, and doubled Tranmere's advantage on the half hour with a low shot.

But Peterborough were back in the game four minutes before time, Mackail-Smith netting his sixth of the season from close range.

United pressed hard in the second half, and found the equaliser on 76 minutes when Zakuani headed in Russell Martin's corner.

Crewe Alexandra 3 Southend United 4

Anthony Grant headed a late winner as Southend edged a seven goal thriller at Gresty Road.

Huddersfield Town 3 Northampton Town 2

Michael Flynn hit a double to earn Huddersfield a welcome three points against Northampton at The Galpharm Stadium.

Huddersfield started the better but found themselves behind on 24 minutes when Jim Goodwin put into his own net.

But Goodwin's error did not faze The Terriers and they were level 11 minutes later when veteran striker Andy Booth slotted home from close range.

Flynn's smart finish after being played in by Liam Dickinson put The Terriers in front, and the 27-year-old sealed the win on 78 minutes with 30-yard piledriver, before sub Liam Davis scored a late consolation for the Cobblers.

Yeovil Town 2 Bristol Rovers 2

Jo Kuffour hit a superb long range strike to earn Bristol Rovers a draw in an entertaining match at Huish Park.

It took just five minutes for Yeovil to break the deadlock, Terry Skiverton heading in Andrew Welsh's inswinging corner.

But Skiverton turned from hero to villain when he handled in the box on 37 minutes, allowing Lambert to level from the spot.

Gary Roberts' long-range effort in first half injury time restored Yeovil's advantage, but Kuffour's fine strike on 61 minutes earned Rovers a point.
