Jackson: Calling on Bantams faithful

Peter Jackson has resigned as manager of Bradford City.

Bantams boss Peter Jackson follows Peter Taylor in leaving Valley Parade but even earlier, blimey, it's still August!

He was appointed as the permanent manager of Bradford City last May, following a three-month period as interim boss.

However, a run of three defeats in the league, including Saturday's 1-0 home loss to Dagenham & Redbridge, has led Jacko to believe it was time to go.

The official website www.bradfordcityfc.co.uk announced: "He felt that to resign now would give the club that best possible chance for the rest of the season."

While striker Nialle Rodney said: “I can’t believe the gaffer has gone.”

Good luck to the next bloke!
