Phil Parkinson: Named as Bradford boss

Oh well, this should make our two games more interesting.

League Two rivals Bradford City have appointed Phil Parkinson as their new manager following the departure of Peter Jackson.

The Bantams collected just one point from their opening four League Two games under Jackson but reacted to his departure by beating Barnet for their first win of the season on Saturday.

A statement on www.bradfordcityfc.co.uk read:"Parkinson was always the club's number one choice to land the position, which has been vacant since the departure of former City captain Peter Jackson four days ago."

Parkinson has been out of work since being sacked in January by Charlton, whose relegation to League One and subsequent play-off disappointment he oversaw.

And his first signing may be the Addicks, and our very own Essex boy, Paul Benson, not sure how he'll enjoy the West Yorkshire air though!

Best of luck mate, no, on second thoughts, hope you bugger this one up as well, even though he's probably what they need!

We play the Bantams at home on Friday, December 16th, 2011 & at Valley Parade on Friday, April 6th, 2012.
