Madjo: Signed on for Shots

The 27-year-old Cameroonian striker has penned an 18-month contact at the EBB Stadium after failing to make an impact at Boro, making just one substitute appearance.

Madjo recently spent time on loan at Port Vale where he scored four goals in six games, including three against his new employers just before Christmas.

He also had spells at Shrewsbury, Chinese club Guangdong Sunray and Albanian side KS Bylis Ballsh, and has vowed to hit the goal trail after joining Aldershot for a five-figure undisclosed fee.

Madjo told www.theshots.co.uk: "I hope I score more goals now I am at the club but this time for Aldershot. Now I am here I want to score goals and to win matches and I am grateful to the manager for giving me the opportunity. I am here for business."

Shots boss Dean Holdsworth added: "Talking to Guy, he is delighted to be given this chance. He will fit in very well. He is a strong lad who is well focused too. He has a genuine appetite to score goals. We know he can score goals and that is what we need."

Cheltenham have signed winger Jermaine McGlashan from League Two rivals Aldershot for an undisclosed fee.

McGlashan has penned a two-and-a-half-year deal with the Robins after leaving the Shots with 18 months of his contract remaining.

The 23-year-old started his career in non-league football before joining Aldershot in 2010, where he has made 75 appearances and scored five goals.

McGlashan is available for selection for Cheltenham's clash with Bristol Rovers at Whaddon Road on Saturday.

Southend United play Aldershot in the rearranged rearranged fixture away on Tuesday, February 21st, with the return only a month later on Tuesday, March 20th.

Cheltenham Town visit Roots Hall ten days later on Friday, March 30th, both games under lights.
