Carlisle United 3 MK Dons 2

MK Dons threw away three points at Carlisle as Joe Anyinsah helped the home side fight back from two goals down to claim an unlikely three points at Brunton Park.

Aaron Wilbraham scored for the second time in a week to put The Dons ahead on 15 minutes and the forward made it six in five games before the interval.

However, with the wind behind them in the second period, Carlisle took 44 seconds to get themselves back into the game when Danny Graham scored his 15th goal of the campaign, after a long clearance from Danny Livesey.

Carlisle continued to press and were level on 65 minutes through Paul Thirlwell's long range strike and Anyinsah completed the remarkable turnaround 13 minutes from time.

Millwall 1 Tranmere Rovers 0

Marc Lairds second half strike handed Millwall their first win in five games to put their promotion challenge back on track.

Tranmere came into the game in good form having won two of their last three games but struggled to come to terms with the home sides attacking impetus.

And Millwall's continued pressure and dominance in possession finally paid off when Laird headed in David Martins cross with 17 minutes remaining.

Peterborough United 1 Walsall 0

Peterborough were unable to reproduce the six goal display that blew away Cheltenham in their last league game but a single goal was enough to see off Walsall.

The game's only goal came in its first meaningful attack when Chris Whelpdale struck from close range following strong work from Charlie Lee.

Peterborough continued to have the better of the encounter but Craig Mackail-Smith and Aaron Mclean, who had four goals in as many league games, left their shooting boots at home.

Hereford United 5 Oldham Athletic 0

Stephen Guinan helped himself to a first half hat-trick and Lionel Ainsworth a double as Hereford boosted their chances of avoiding relegation with a rousing victory over promotion-pushing Oldham.

Hereford got off to a dream start when Guinan nodded home Matt Done's long throw with little over two minutes on the clock and the top-scorer doubled the Bulls advantage on ten minutes from Ainsworth's cross.

Ainsworth gave the home fans more to cheer about on 25 minutes when he was on hand to steer the ball home after Guinan's hat-trick effort cannoned back off the bar before Guinan tapped in Ainsworth's cross four minutes before the break.

Hereford were not finished and Ainsworth had Greg Fleming picking the ball out of his net for a fifth time on 61 minutes as he found the bottom corner with a long-range effort.

Crewe Alexandra 3 Scunthorpe United 2

Daniel O'Donnell grabbed a priceless injury-time winner to keep Crewe's survival hopes alive in an entertaining game against Scunthorpe.

Paul Hayes finished off Sam Togwell's cross to put Scunthorpe ahead, ten minutes after he had seen his spot kick saved.

Togwell soon turned from hero to villain as he fouled John Brayford in the box and Michael O'Connor scored the resulting penalty.

O'Donnell put through his own net to restore Scunthorpe's lead before Clayton Donaldson restored parity a minute later and O'Donnell grabbed the winner from Billy Jones cross.

Stockport County 3 Southend United 1

Southend failed to recover from their midweek FA Cup exit against Chelsea as they fell to another defeat at Stockport.

Huddersfield Town 2 Swindon Town 1

Huddersfield lengthened their unbeaten run to four games as they proved too hot for Swindon.

Swindon had the better of the possession in an ordinary first half, but it was Huddersfield who broke the deadlock six minutes after the break when Michael Collins struck from outside the box.

Andy Butler doubled the advantage for Lee Clark's men on the hour before Patrick Kanyuka made Swindon's task harder after being sent off.

Simon Cox made for a frantic finale in stoppage time, but it was too late for Swindon.

Brighton 0 Leeds United 2

Leeds continued to put pressure on the teams in the play-off positions as Lee Trundle's first goal for the club sent them on their way to victory at Brighton.

In a game of few chances it was Leeds' first effort on target that opened the scoring when Trundle struck on his first start for the club.

Trundle appeared as a sub following his move from Bristol City in last week's home defeat against Carlisle but he endeared himself to the Leeds faithful with a close range finish from Luciano Beechio's assist.

And the highly rated Fabian Delph sealed the victory nine minutes from time with a smart finish into the bottom corner.

Colchester United 3 Cheltenham Town 1

Colchester built on their useful midweek point in Milton Keynes as they came from behind to beat Cheltenham.

The home side were made to pay for not making their first half dominance count when Chris Westwood rose highest to nod in Ian Westlake's corner on 57 minutes.

The lead only lasted for six minutes as Dean Hammond showed his teammates how to finish when he headed the ball home from inside the six-yard box.

From then on only one team was going to win the game, especially when the visitors had John Finnigan dismissed, and after Pat Baldwin headed Colchester ahead, Mark Yeates sealed the points two minutes from time.

Leyton Orient 1 Bristol Rovers 2

Leyton Orient were thrust further into the relegation dogfight as Bristol Rovers came from behind to pick up the three points.

Orient went ahead on 55 minutes when Adam Boyd was on hand to head in Dean Morgan's inswinging corner.

Jeff Hughes hauled Rovers level with 16 minutes remaining with a neat finish from close range and Darryl Duffy sealed the turnaround five minutes later.

Borient's Tuesday night fixture with the Blues is now vital for both clubs.
